Vesfaun is derived from vesi (Estonian: "water") and faun (mythical goat creature).

- Vesfaun is one of the two Pokemon in the Omnis region to have no weakness (although this can only happen if it has its hidden ability), the other being its evolution Bovidelf. It is also one of the five Pokemon to have no weakness, the others being the Tynamo line.
